About me

Hi, I'm Jessie and I've been working in mental health and human services for over 15 years. Before opening my private practice I worked in education, residential treatment, and outpatient community mental health. I'm most experienced working with people with anxiety, depression, challenges from trauma, stress, and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. My priority is to provide a safe space where you feel empowered to advocate for your needs. My style is down to earth with open and honest communication, along with a bit of humor.
I've been called a fierce advocate and believe that every person deserves access to what will improve the quality of their lives. I feel empowered by supporting others to navigate the system. I'm passionate about destigmatizing mental health and substance use. Outside of being a Social Worker and Advocate, I like hanging out with my cats, Winston and Maya, reading, being outdoors, and exploring new places.

Prior to COVID, animal assisted therapy took place at Alley Cat Cafe. Animals are empathetic, non-judgmental, affectionate, and give unconditional love which promotes healing in an environment that fosters acceptance and comfort.
I'm unable to provide Emotional Support Animal assessments or recommendations for individuals who are not established clients.
